The HP Series 80 Personal Computer Systems comprised the HP-85, HP-86, and HP-87XM personal Computers, extra plug-in memory, enhancements, Mass Storage, Printers and Graphics equipment. While the Personal Computers were entitled ‘Series 80 Mainframes’, that would be a little overstating their capabilities, even in 1982.
Some of the add-on equipment included the HP-82903A memory module for the HP-85, and the HP 82907A, HP 82908A and HP 82909A memory modules for the HP-86 and HP-87 There were HP ROMS’s that plugged in via the HP 82936A ROM Drawer. There was a Series 80 modem for connectivity. Mass storage options included the HP 82901M/HP 82902M Fexible Disk Memory, the HP 9134A Winchester and HP 9135A Combination Disk Memory and the HP 9130A Single Disk Drive. Also noted are the HP 8595A and HP 9138A disk drives.
Printers included the HP 82905B Impact Printer, the HP 2671A Thermal Printer, The HP 2671G Graphics Printer, the HP 2673A Intelligent Graphics Printer, the HP 2631B High Volume Printer and the HP 2601A Daisy Wheel Printer. Graphic items included the HP 7470A Graphics Plotter and the HP 9111A Graphics Tablet.
